The Kitchen

The kitchen barely made it for the June fiesta's weekend feasting. Friday was a flurry of activity and desperate last-minute efforts - another coat of paint, connecting wires, fixing plumbing leaks, and hanging doors. And for the next two days it was ground zero for the culinary creations that were served to the gastronomic delight of the weekend guests.

Modernized in fixtures and functions, some of the old details were retained - the grillwork of the metal circular staircase, the dated wooden louvers, and the old display cabinet. The table (foreground) was fabricated on site, and fashioned after the stairway grillwork.
